Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen— 2 Peter 3:18 (NLT)
Peter closes his letter with a call to growth. The Christian life is never stagnant—we are either moving forward in Christ or drifting backward. Growth is not about gathering mere head knowledge, but about deepening our relationship with Jesus.
Grace reminds us that we stand before God not by our works, but by His undeserved favor. Knowledge helps us understand His truth and walk in wisdom. Together, they form the foundation of maturity in Christ.
Growing in Christ requires both learning His Word and applying it in daily life. It means allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our thoughts, character, and actions so that we reflect Jesus more and more.
Reflection
Your faith journey is a lifelong process. Every prayer, every moment in Scripture, every trial endured with trust is part of your growth. Do not despise small beginnings—spiritual maturity develops step by step.
Ask yourself: Am I intentionally seeking to grow in both grace and knowledge? Or am I settling into spiritual comfort?
Today, commit to pursuing Jesus with a teachable heart. Spiritual growth is not instant, but over time it transforms you into His likeness.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for calling me to grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Teach me to live in Your grace daily and to deepen my understanding of Your Word. May my life continually bring glory to You, both now and forever. Amen.
